On Sunday, March 14th, 2021, we held the third of the approved 2-Gun Action Challenge demonstration matches. We had 37 shooters in attendance; 50% were Club members (a new record for the Club’s practical shooting matches). We ran the match as four squads – two AM and two PM squads. The weather could not have been more perfect!

The day started out at around 32 degrees, but quickly climbed into the mid-60’s. By the afternoon squads everyone was in tee shirts.

Squad timing for this match was perfect, despite a few minor stage adjustments in the morning. The match started on time, and finished on time. There were no significant squad backlogs. There were no safety issues, and no reported injuries.

As with the January and February matches, we received a lot of compliments for the match, from the format, difficulty, challenges, lower round counts, and welcoming attitudes by everyone to those new to practical shooting sports.

We are waiting on Club approval to run this program year-round. See the 2G-ACM Club page here to keep up to date on match status, registration and score links (https://www.fxrgc.org/practical-shooting/2g-acm/).
