The 2021 Action Pistol Clinic schedule at Fairfax Rod and Gun has been approved by the Board for the following dates:

  • Sunday, October 10th

Join your friends and fellow members at one or all of the clinics to improve your pistol shooting skills in a convenient format with professional instruction.  Adam Metcalf, Air Force veteran and FXRGC club member since 2013, will lead your instruction with the assistance of a safety officer. If you have taken one of Adam’s clinics in prior years, you know that Adam will share from his experience as a former volunteer match director for the club’s popular International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) monthly match, decades as a competitive shooter and his nearly 10 years as a firearms instructor.  Each clinic will address specific shooting techniques for attendees of various skill and experience levels.  This year’s clinics are specifically designed to maximize ammunition supply – only requiring 50 rounds for the hour-long session.

Registration is now open for the October Action Pistol Clinic at Fairfax Rod and Gun Club.

This is the final clinic Action Pistol Clinic for 2021 at FRGC!  The theme for this clinic is “Shooting fundamentals during a stage.”  The clinic will focus on how to apply your shooting fundamentals while navigating a series of mini-stages.  It will be conducted entirely on the range in a one-hour, small group setting with a 50 round-count agenda.

For this clinic you will need:

  • A pistol with at least two magazines
  • A holster on the strongside of your body and a belt to hold it
  • Two magazine pouches on the support side
