The 2022 Action Pistol Clinic schedule at Fairfax Rod and Gun has been approved by the Board for the following dates:

  • Sunday, March 20th
  • Sunday, June 5th
  • Sunday, August 14th
  • Sunday, October 9th

Join your friends and fellow members at one or all of the clinics to improve your pistol shooting skills in a convenient format with professional instruction.  Adam Metcalf, Air Force veteran and FXRGC club member since 2013, will lead your instruction with the assistance of a safety officer. If you have taken one of Adam’s clinics in prior years, you know that Adam will share from his experience as a former volunteer match director for the club’s popular International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) monthly match, decades as a competitive shooter and his nearly 10 years as a firearms instructor.  Each clinic will address specific shooting techniques for attendees of various skill and experience levels.  This year’s clinics will take place on the Culver range and require 50-75 rounds for the hour+ long session.

The theme for this clinic is “Drills to increase accuracy at speed.”  The clinic will focus on how to speed your shooting up while maintaining accuracy.  It will be conducted entirely on the range in a one-hour, small group setting with a 50-75 round-count agenda.

For this clinic you will need:

  • Eye and Ear Protection (electronic ear protection is recommended if you have difficulty hearing)
  • A pistol with at least two magazines (preferably three)
  • A holster on the strongside of your body and a belt to hold it
  • Two magazine pouches on the support side
  • 50-75 rounds of ammunition

The clinic will be held on Sunday, June 5thth on the Bowl of the Culver Range at FRGCExact starting and ending times will be determined after registration and FRGC Club members received priority for slots.

The clinic costs $60 payable the day of (in cash, check or Venmo) and covers all training materials.
