SOB Tactical to Deliver Two 1-Day Classes (2022)
The Fairfax Rod and Gun Club Education Committee is sponsoring SGM (Ret.) John “Shrek” McPhee of SOB Tactical to deliver two one-day firearms training classes. First is a one-day pistol class, second is a one-day carbine class. The thought is that you take them both as a combined two-day class, but that is your option. This will be SOB Tactical’s third year delivering classes at Fairfax Rod and Gun Club.
Pistol Class Description: “This is a Sheriff of Baghdad (aka John Shrek McPhee) 1-day (8 hours) Pistol Course comprised of video diagnostics; Stance, Grip and presentation, as well as one to one evaluations through shooting drills. My methodology applies video based play-by-play technology and current professional sports coaching models to correct any deficiencies in the officer’s technique and fundamentals. My successful coaching strategy employs a neuroscience approach to enhance every officer’s ability to comprehend, advance his cognitive reasoning and simply learn at a higher level. This course develops “problem solvers” using techniques that are proven and dispels common shooting misconceptions.”

Schedule: Pistol Class will be held on Saturday, September 17 on the Culver Range, starting at 9:00 am. Carbine Class will be held on September 18, 2022, on the Benson Range, starting at 9:00 am.

SGM (Ret.) John “Shrek” McPhee has spent his adult life in Special Operations and Special Mission Units. He is a Master Instructor and Subject Matter Expert (SME). He has trained countless U.S. Special Operations forces, thousands of International Tier 1 Operators and Special Forces around the world. He is one of the handful of Delta Force Operators with over a decade of combat having served in multiple theaters from Bosnia and South America to recent war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. From 0 to 2500 Meters, “SHREK” is one of the few operators known for his kill shot, keen precision, and commonsense approach, from hand to hand combat to setting one of the world record scuba dives.
