Saturday, May 3rd at Fairfax Rod and Gun Club
We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who came out to support the Virginia 4-H Shotgun Team at their Burgers & Dogs Fundraiser this past Saturday! With great weather, tasty food, and a strong community turnout, the event was a success.
This fundraiser helps support the Virginia 4-H Shotgun Team headed to the 2025 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska, taking place June 22–27, 2025. Team members, Ben Stewart, Chris Nevarr (both Trigger Time/PWC 4H), Ricky Grassel (Brunswick 4H), and Sarah Coffee (King William 4H), have been training hard all year for this opportunity.
These shooters earned their spot on the national team through outstanding performance at the Virginia 4-H Shotgun Championship and by ranking in the top 5 from 1,100 record targets in skeet, trap, and sporting clays. The team is holding weekly practices and upcoming competitions including the AIM State Trap Championship, Old Dominion Open skeet event, and the Virginia State Sporting Clays Championship.
Our young 4-H Shooters even took charge of the grill, serving up delicious burgers and hot dogs with excitement and smiles. Your support goes directly toward covering the team’s costs for clay targets, ammunition, travel, and lodging for Nationals.
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of encouragement and donations. But we’re not done yet—the team still needs to raise additional funds and will be supporting the following upcoming shoots:
