High Power Silhouette Match 04/02/23

Hi All, Well, this was our second high power silhouette match this weekend.  Those of that attended, froze during the match.  Wasn’t all that cold, but the constant wind made it that way.  There was some good scores shot even with the wind.  Hartwell Stoneham won Standard Rifle with a 24×40, and Dick Floyd had the same score in Hunting Rifle which won that.  Mat Copland won AR with a 18.  Other than those, even not winning, we had a 19 and two 17’s shot.  As always Victor Bolster did a fine job as our target setter.

  Remember a couple things:  Next week is Easter so there will not be a smallbore match.  Our next match will be the first Sunday in May which will be a high power silhouette match.

  Also remember we will have a handgun/lever rifle silhouette match on the first Sunday in June.  This will be in lieu of our usual high power silhouette match.  The reason for this match is in hopes that a club member will decide we should have these silhouette matches again and run them.  Handgun silhouette was last at the club maybe as much as 30 years ago.  I think it is interesting and hope others will as well.  See you then.
