Club Member Phil Schrier Obituary

We have been notified fellow Club member, and Senior Curator for the National Firearms Museum, Phil Schrier passed away yesterday, December 29, 2025. Phil joined Fairfax Rod & Gun Club April 2024 and was extremely involved with firearms his entire life as well as being a fixture at the NRA museum. Condolences to family and friends.

One of Phil’s interviews for a TV show was filmed at FR&GC on Lea Valley, fellow member Chuck Nothom and I were present for that, and what an experience. Phil was always ready to provide insight and help with firearms-related questions, and participated with the Helping Hands auction February 8, 2025. He was a walking firearms encyclopedia without measure.
