Who: Open enrollment; Club members get priority slots.
What: This class is structured to take shooters through a progression to develop skill in the use of pistol optics. Topics covered include pistol setup, presentation, draw, acquiring the dot, recovering the dot in recoil, target to target transitions, and shooting from 3-25 yards. This is not an introductory course, and participants should already be experienced with employing a handgun with iron sights.
What you need:
Reliable pistol with slide mounted red dot optic (optic should be sighted in, at distance of your choosing)
Four magazines, minimum
Exposed/Duty holster rig capable of carrying the above pistol and at least 2 spare magazines. Safariland RDS, 6354DO, or Kydex open top belt holster recommended. No SERPA or soft nylon/leather holsters.
Minimum 500 rounds of ammunition
Hearing and eye protection
Brimmed ball cap
